What To Run Through Before Getting Your Pool Out For The Summer

Any garden with it's own pool is going to be the one most the neighbours flock to once the weather gets really hot. Your kids are suddenly the most popular ones in school and your garden looks like the school yard and your neighbours are your best friends again. But before your garden becomes the common property of your whole neighborhood you've got to do some work to get everything nice and clean. If you were cleaver you'd have made sure everything was put away properly last year in which case your job now should be nice and easy.

Start by checking all the hardware and the machinery as this is going to be the biggest thing to replace if you find anything has gone wrong over the winter months. Anything like swimming pool pumps are essential for keeping the water clean and clear but they can degrade over time so if they've been sat still for a few months check them over before you get the pool completely filled. The same goes for swimming pool heaters. You might think the heater isn't important but unless you're living in the middle of a desert the water is going to be very cool and a heater will make it more comfortable. By checking every over now you've left yourself time to make sure you can get a replacement in time.

Solar pool covers mean you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to keep your pool heated as they harness the power of the sun instead which is also great for the environment. Before you start actually cleaning the pool you need to make sure the surrounding area is clear first. If you have a paved area or decking around your pool it can be very dangerous if there are leave everywhere as they'll soon become slippery.
